Comment transmettre une mémoire ?
Comment faire voyager une voix au-delà des frontières, des générations et des langues ?
Comment écrire à celles qui ont ouvert des chemins avant nous ?


Pour ce troisième rendez-vous, JIKA propose un atelier d'écriture poétique inspiré par l'univers de Werewere Liking, figure majeure des lettres et des arts africains contemporains.

À partir de lectures, d'échanges et de propositions d'écriture, les participant·es seront invité·es à composer une lettre poétique adressée à Werewere Liking, à une ancêtre, à une héritière ou à une voix qui continue de traverser le monde.

L'atelier sera suivi d'un temps de mise en voix et de déclamation des textes produits, dans un esprit de partage, de transmission et de création collective.

  • Mise en voix des textes
  • Open mic poétique

Cette édition des Jika Dialogues est présentée en partenariat avec Jokko, dans le cadre de Nooraan — la Saison Sèche du Partcours (20 avril – 30 juin 2026). La Saison Sèche rassemble la programmation des membres du réseau Partcours et des participants à la 14e édition de Jokko.

How do we transmit memory?

How do we carry a voice across borders, generations and languages?

How do we write to those who opened pathways before us?

For this third gathering, JIKA invites participants to a poetic writing workshop inspired by the work and creative universe of Werewere Liking, one of the leading figures of contemporary African literature and performance.

Through readings, conversation and guided writing prompts, participants will be invited to compose a poetic letter addressed to Werewere Liking, to an ancestor, to a future inheritor, or to a voice that continues to travel through the world.

The workshop will be followed by a collective reading and spoken-word session, creating a space for sharing, transmission and collective creation.

  • Readings and introduction to the work of Werewere Liking
  • Poetic writing workshop
  • Collective reading and performance of the texts
  • Open mic

Together, always in poetry.

This edition of the Jika Dialogues is presented in partnership with Jokko, as part of Nooraan — the Saison Sèche du Partcours (April 20 – June 30, 2026). The Saison Sèche brings together programming from members of the Partcours network and participants in the 14th edition of Jokko.
