We warmly invite you to the vernissage of Meeting Nature, the debut exhibition at Galerie 36 featuring the work of Senegalese artist Daouda Niane Dit Uda. This evening marks the official opening of our new space—dedicated to celebrating artists from Africa and the African Diaspora, and to cultivating a deeper, more intimate relationship between creativity, culture, and community.
Uda’s work invites us to pause and witness. Through faceless figures rendered in fine, meditative lines, Meeting Nature explores themes of identity, memory, and our coexistence with the natural world. These visual forms—simultaneously abstract and familiar—speak to our shared humanity and the stories etched into the landscapes of our lives.
